Donald Trump Becomes Poison Among Celebrities

Statistics claim that Donald Trumps Celebrity Apprentice show has the most Liberal audience on television but the industry is quickly abandoning association with him after his string of media appearances criticizing President Obama.

Jerry Seinfeld canceled an upcoming appearance at a benefit for Donald Trump son’s Eric Trump Foundation, releasing the following statement: “Jerry . . . feels this kind of demagoguery has no place in public discourse . . . He has respectfully withdrawn from the event, and is making a contribution both to the Eric Trump Foundation and to [St. Jude].”

Trump Responded:

“I just learned you canceled a show for my son’s charity,” Trump fired off in a scorching letter to Seinfeld yesterday, “because of the fact that I am being very aggressive with respect to President Obama, who is doing an absolutely terrible job as our leader.”

“Celebrity Apprentice” star Trump piled on the insults, saying he wished he’d canceled his appearance on Seinfeld’s “failed” NBC show, “The Marriage Ref.”

“We don’t care that you broke your commitment,” he wrote, “even though the children of St. Jude are very disappointed, and despite the fact that your manager clearly stated you are ‘truly a man of his word.’

“What I do feel badly about is that I agreed to do, and did, your failed show, ‘The Marriage Ref,’ even though I thought it was absolutely terrible . . . Despite its poor ratings, I didn’t cancel on you like you canceled on my son and St. Jude. I only wish I did.”

The letter ends with the kiss-off, “You should be ashamed of yourself!”

The LA Times Gossip Blog couldn’t even bring themselves to report the news about Gary Busey’s son being hospitalized without dedicating the lead of the headline and chunk of the story to Busey’s support for Trump.

The 177 word post reads:

Gary Busey’s 1-year-old son has been hospitalized since earlier this week at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he is being treated for “a childhood illness.”

Luke Busey, son of the actor and fiancee Steffanie Sampson, is expected home by the end of the week, a Busey rep told “Access Hollywood” on Tuesday.

“Gary is very grateful to his fans for their love and support,” the rep said. “Gary and Steffanie thank everyone for their prayers and get-well wishes for Luke.”

The “Lethal Weapon” actor also has a son, Jake Busey, with ex-wife Judy Helkenberg, and a daughter, Alectra “Ellie” Busey, with Tracy Hutchinson.

The freshly fired “Celebrity Apprentice” contestant made headlines earlier this week when he expressed his support for Donald Trump’s rumored presidential bid. Busey told the “Today” show that although he has “great respect” for President Obama, Trump “would be an absolutely good” president.

“He knows about this country,” Busey said. “He knows the situation we’re in now.”

On the “The Wendy Williams Show,” the actor went so far as to pledge his vote, calling Trump “a great man.”
