It appears that Missouri voters have an interesting slot to put their ballots when they turn them in.

When you’re the Governor of the “Show Me” state (seriously), this is the last thing you want to show anyone.

Democratic Governor of Missouri Jay Nixon (no relation to the Nixon you’re thinking of) had a staff member (presumably) photograph him voting to encourage Missourians (Missouriites? Missouricans?) to go out and vote.

But apparently, that staff member was blind, both photographing and tweeting their boss voting next to what could generously be described as a “huge a** crack”.

The tweet was quickly deleted, but not before way too many people saw it and screenshotted it.

Apparently in Missouri you get the luxury of sitting down when voting, which is different from many states where you have to stand at a rickety pop-up table or an ATM/voting machine to cast your ballot.

Seriously, how can you miss this though? Is someone tweeting with their feet? Did they think this man/woman (indiscernible) sitting next to the Governor was wearing a flesh-colored, bifurcated fanny pack?

No word if the staffer is still employed by the Governor. If Gov. Nixon was a different Nixon, one can only imagine the staffer’s fate given a screwup as big as this.
