“With Herman Cain, let’s remember here, Sean, we have nobody on the record, we have no specific allegation of anything that’s happened,” NewsBusters publisher Brent Bozell noted on last night’s Hannity, contrasting the “avalanche” of Cain coverage with the minimal coverage the networks gave to Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey, and Juanita Broaddrick’s allegations of sexual harassment and, in the latter case, rape.
Andy Levy on Red Eye accused Ann Coulter of playing the Race Card when she claimed that Herman Cain is being disproportionally attacked because he is “a black conservative”. Levy said it was “the most ridiculous thing he’s ever heard” that Politico would not have attacked Herman Cain this way if he were white, however whatever the reason, Politico has not done similar reporting against any of the other Republican candidates. Politico ran 90 stories on Cain in 5 days and the list is now over 94.
On Hannity, Coulter defended Cain in a full segment, though her phrase “our blacks are better than their blacks” was the line most media outlets ran with.
